"Toray" Aerospace Manufacturing Plant

The facility supplies carbon fiber for the 787 Dreamliner, Hubbell Telescopes, and satellites, as well as lower-grade carbon fibers for many different products. The 670,370 square-foot facility is 3/4 of a mile long and supplies advanced materials to the aerospace industry. The site is 400 acres, allowing for future growth and expansion. Kirlin-Way Mechanical was responsible for the complete plumbing scope, including domestic water and sanitary sewer. Scope also included a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, capable of 35 gallons per minute. Process waste for sewer included a 12,000-gallon storage tank, diverting this waste stream from the city's sewer system.
