UNC Hillsborough Hospital and CUP

Kirlin-Way Mechanical provided all of the HVAC and Plumbing systems for this new hospital located in Hillsborough, North Carolina. The cost of the mechanical construction for this 266,000 square-foor hospital is nearly $27 million. Custom air handlers with over 350,000 CFM serve the hospital. The Central Utility Plant (CUP) provides the chilled water, hot water, emergency power, and the Building Automation System for the new hospital, and all future additions to the campus. In the CUP, Kirlin-Way Mechanical installed three chillers equaling 2,350 tons, three 300-horsepower duel fuel boilers, two double-basin cooling towers, and a 28,000 gallon fuel oil distribution system.
